The chamber of Commerce, industry and Agriculture, Timisoara – Euro info Center RO823 together with the State Office for Investments and Trade Marks launch the participation invitation at the workshop with the following subject: “The community trademark and industrial design impact over the national trademark”. The event shall take place on 15 th and 16 th of November 2005, starting at 10.30 am, at the Regional Center for Business headquarters in Timisoara, Bd. Eroilor de la Tisa, no 22.

The event agenda includes subject related to the free circulation of Romanian products on the Unique European Market, such as:

• Status of the national trademark and the industrial design after the adhesion of Romania to the European Union;

• The cost for a community trademark, when and if the it is necessary for a firm form Romania to request and obtain a community trademark;

• Extension of the national trademarks so that they are valid in all European Union Countries;

• The role of the Harmonizing Office of the Domestic Market – OHIM, community organization empowered to offer the protection titles for trademarks and industrial design valid in all EU member states;

• How the industrial drawings and patterns can be rejected and annulled bu trademarks.

The experts team of the State office for Investments, Trademarks, lead by General Manager Mr. Gabor Varga, will discuss the most recent issues in the industrial property field, offering at the same time the possibility to develop a dialogue between the specialists in the fields and businesspersons.

The participation fee for one person is 150 RON (plus VAT) and includes the support materials as brochures, as well as the lunch (Swedish buffet) and special dinners offered by the organizers. The deadline for the confirmation of the participation is on 9 th of November 2005.
